Donate Items
As part of Gallatin General Store, we’re keeping good items in circulation within our community.
If you have clothing or small home goods that are clean, in good condition, and ready to be used again, feel free to bring them with you next time you stop in.
When you arrive, just let us know you have a donation—we’ll help you place it in our back office and thank you with a 20% off your secondhand purchase that day.

What to Bring
We’re currently accepting:
-
Clothing
-
Small home goods
-
Small outdoor equipment
Small to moderate quantities are appreciated.
A Few Guidelines:
-
Items should be: clean, in good condition, free of stains, damage, or strong odors, complete and ready to use
-
We may not be able to accept all items
-
Items may be rotated or donated if not used
-
We are not accepting furniture, rugs, or electronics
-
We’re not able to accept items left outside after hours
-
No appointments needed—just bring items with you when you come to shop.
All secondhand items are located upstairs in the mezzanine, with the main floor dedicated to Montana-made goods and locally produced food.
This section is currently under construction but here is a working photo of the stairs until the space is created.

The Community Shelf
You’ll find a small Community Shelf in the store—a simple, shared space for books and puzzles to move through the community.
It’s an easy way to pass something along once you’re done with it, or pick up something new without overthinking it. No checkout, no tracking—just a quiet exchange that keeps good things in circulation.
How it works:
-
Bring in books or puzzles you’re ready to pass along
-
Take something if it’s a good fit for you
-
No one-for-one exchange required—just keep it moving
A few simple guidelines:
-
Items should be clean and in good condition
-
Complete puzzles only, please
-
Small quantities are appreciated
It’s a small part of the store, but one that reflects what this place is about—sharing, reusing, and staying connected as a community.
