We’re Officially Opening May 19th

After months of planning, building, sourcing, stocking shelves, and bringing together an incredible group of Montana makers and producers, Gallatin General Store is officially opening its doors on Tuesday, May 19th at 10AM.

The Belgrade Chamber of Commerce will be joining us at 9:45AM for a ribbon cutting as we officially open the doors for the very first time.

While May 19th will be our official opening day, we’re planning to hold a larger grand opening celebration sometime in June once we’ve had a little time to settle in and continue shaping the space.

Gallatin General Store was built around a pretty simple idea: Create a modern Montana general store rooted in community and everyday life.

Inside, you’ll find Montana-made goods, local food, pantry staples, practical home items, thoughtful gifts, refill products, and everyday essentials designed to fit naturally into the rhythms of daily life.

Upstairs, you’ll also find a secondhand section filled with clothing and goods that still have plenty of life left in them—keeping quality items circulating within our community.

One thing I’m especially proud of is that nearly everything in the store comes from Montana makers and producers. From food products and pantry staples to handmade goods and gifts, the shelves are filled with work created by people from across the state. The refill station is currently the one exception, as those products are sourced from Missouri, though I would love to eventually transition that portion to a Montana-based source as well if the right partnership comes along.

As the store continues to grow, we’re still actively looking for additional makers, producers, and vendors to join the space. If you—or someone you know—creates or produces something in Montana that feels like a good fit, I’d love to connect.

This project has been an incredible journey already, and I’m truly grateful for the support, encouragement, and excitement from so many people along the way.
